Professionally Pretty

Contrary to our typical actions, and as shocking as it may be to those who know us best, we are, in fact, adults! And with that, comes something called responsibility (huh?) and a load of other boring things that our parents typically moan about...

What doesn't have to be boring, however, is a professional outfit that screams responsible without screaming boring!

As our college careers are unraveling before us, we should be prepared for the meetings and interviews that require us to pull out the 'ole blazer and show off our professional sides.

"Business Casual" is the perfect style for those who want to be comfortable and professional, and MADISON ROMEO is the perfect person to show us how it's done.

By pairing an oversized blazer with a comfortable, loose top, you get a "put together" look with a "pajama" wearing feel. The boyfriend cut jeans and heels make the look even more accessible for the college girl who wants to look interesting without being inappropriate.

The color combo here also adds a nice professional touch. Playing with navy's, grey's and tans make a louder statement to the boss than coming into an interview with hot pink or flashy orange. This outfit has the perfect amount of muted tones and interesting textures to keep the look fun, but also, focused. Add your favorite jewelry, a statement belt and purse, and you're ready to take on the world!

Finding the perfect blazer can prove to be a challenge. But like you're favorite pair of jeans, once you find "the one" you'll always go to grab them first.

Some of my favorite spring looks include using an oversized blazer as a statement accessory with jeans or jean shorts. Below are a few of my favorite blazers I've found online that are reasonably priced (wow, so responsible!) and transitional enough to be worn in and out of your meetings.
